These systems allow to exploit the cold recycling technique, which is becoming more frequent in the redevelopment of road paving. It involves using the material milled from old bituminous conglomerates to restore a new bituminous conglomerate with a cold binder such as bituminous emulsion or foamed bitumen. The production of cold bituminous conglomerate differs from the traditional hot process due to the following differences:

• Removal of the inert heating phase for a safer working environment, a significant reduction in fuel consumption and the almost total removal of emissions into the atmosphere

• Mixing of mixtures with recycled materials up to 100%, compared to a maximum level of 30% for hot recycling processes

• Possibility to carry out all phases of processing directly on site with obvious advantages in terms of speed of execution of interventions and reduction of transport to and from the job site.
